Coffee 101

I was catching up on some coffee blog reading at the Daily Demitasse earlier and came across a post titled, Video: Quick Coffee Facts.  The post links to a fun YouTube video of a quick talking guy giving out facts about coffee.

Some facts gleaned from the video:

• 300 tons of caffeine consumed every day
• USA is the largest buyer of coffee
• coffee grows in the tropics
• Finland drinks 3x more coffee per day than Americans
• caffeine is a natural insecticide
• caffeine fights off headaches
• coffee is good for you
• coffee brought us out of the dark ages
• coffee is our fuel
